Sampling and assaying
TM2 - Metals Sampling and Assaying
All digital metals approved for listing on the TM2 must conform to strict requirements on quality, shape and weight, as outlined by the TM2.
TM2 Samplers and Assayers are independent organisations skilled in the chemical analysis of metals and play an important role before and after digital metals are listed.
Before
Samplers and Assayers are required to sample and evaluate the chemical quality of metals, which are subject to assessment, before a digital metal product is approved. Evaluation must comply with the quality requirements outlined in contract specifications.
After
Samplers and Assayers will issue certificates of analysis based on agreed sampling procedures for metals to be placed on the TM2 where original producer documentation may not be available.
